Ombi V3 and SSO!

How to install the Ombi v3 Beta container on unRAID and get SSO working with Ombi and Plex on Organizr

unRAID

First you need to activate “Docker Hub Searching”

Go to CA Settings in the Community Applications tab

Then set “Enable additional search results from dockerHub?” to Yes

  1. Search for ombi-preview in Community Application and press install.
  2. On the install page you need to add 3 things: A Host port, Key 1, Key 2 and a AppData Config Path

Host Port:

1. Config Type: Port
2. Name: Port
3. Container Port: 5000 or whatever you like
4. Host Port: 5000 or whatever you like

Key 2

AppData Config Path

1. Config Type: Path
2. Name: AppData Config Path
3. Container Path: /config
4. Host Path: /your/appdata/path e.g. /mnt/cache/appdata/ombiv3
5. Access Mode: Read/Write
6. Description: Container Path: /config

Press “Apply” and it should install.

  1. Go through the initial setup and add your Base URLand API Key
  2. Restart the containter.
  3. Add the rest of your services (Plex|Sonarr|Radarr|)
  4. Import your plex users, and add the plex admin account as that does not get imported automatically. (You only need to add the plex admin account if your Ombi admin user is named something else)

Note: Ombi base URL needs to be the same as nginx base URL

NGINX

Add this in your Main Server Block

  • Remember to change the IP/Port.
#OMBIV3 CONTAINER
location /ombi {
#Uncomment auth_request if you use server based auth with Organizr
#auth_request /auth-user;
proxy_pass http://192.168.1.34:5000/ombi;
proxy_http_version 1.1;
proxy_set_header Upgrade $http_upgrade;
proxy_set_header Connection keep-alive;
proxy_set_header Host $host;
proxy_cache_bypass $http_upgrade;
}

Organizr

For SSO to work you need to update Organizr to 1.6

Add your ombi tab with either https://domain.com/ombi, /ombi or https://ombi.domain.com/auth/cookie if you use sub-domain.

After you have done that, go to:

  1. Homepage Settings
  2. Ombi settings
  3. Set your minimun auth level
  4. Add your Ombi URL e.g http://192.168.1.34:5000 (Do not add your Ombi base URL)
  5. Add your Ombi API key (Found in Ombi Settings: Settings -> Ombi)
  6. Press Save

Plex SSO

For Plex SSO to work with Organzier it needs to be in a sub-directory (domain.com/plex)
